Equipment TrainingEquipment training is not about sitting in a classroom listening to boring instructors reel off endless lists of numbers and facts that you'll never use. It's about getting out there and having some real hands-on time with the heavy equipment that you plan to eventually use in your job. The best part about it is that the supervising professionals can help you learn more quickly and effectively than you might be able to on your own.
This is the kind of training that you get here at the Heavy Equipment Operating School. Both of our courses--the basic course, which lasts for three weeks, and the advanced course, which lasts for six weeks--consist of a huge amount of on-site work. But they also use classroom time to help you get more familiar with some important topics, too.
These topics include things like Units of Measurement, OSHA Regulations, Basic Plan and Blueprint Reading, Slopes, and Job Search Preparation. The goal of these classes is to give you the information you need to get hired and work well, no matter what construction site you end up at. And our intensive course length means that the actual time between your arrival at school and the start of your new job should be pretty short.
Another thing that will help you get hired soon is our Job Placement Office. And if you're at all worried about financing, you should know that additional support is available to qualified applicants. If you'd like to learn more, please contact us over the phone at 1-800-265-7535.
