Heavy Equipment TrainingUsing heavy equipment the wrong way can lead to damage, difficulties, and, at worst, injury. That's why it's important to remember that if you're going to be using heavy equipment regularly, you've got to have the right training. We provide exactly this kind of training here at The Heavy Equipment Operators School.
Here at The Heavy Equipment Operators School, we have been providing top-quality training for almost a decade. Located in scenic Eugene, Oregon, we provide two essential levels of instruction: basic and advanced. Both levels are intensive, and try to teach students about both the general and the practical sides of heavy machinery handling. We teach you how to use machines like dozers, frontloaders, backhoe/loaders, excavators, rollers and graders.
In the basic level class, students will receive 65 hours of classroom training and 85 hours of on-site equipment/field training. The course takes place over three weeks, meeting Monday through Friday from 6:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the afternoon. The advanced course is similarly open to students with little to no experience handling heavy equipment, but it takes place over six weeks, instead of three. Some of the topics we offer include things like "Unit of Measure/Conversions," "OSHA Regulations," and "Equipment Maintenance."
In addition to the basic practical skills that you will learn, time spent here at the Heavy Equipment Operators School includes other eventual benefits. Graduates also receive detailed assistance from our Placement Office, which uses all the means at its disposal to locate entry-level jobs, regardless of an individual's past job experience. And even many years after graduation, students can still access the HEOS job finder web page. For more information, please contact us over the phone, at 800-265-7535.
